Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, known as TRCN, regulates the teaching profession. Teachers must register and hold a valid licence to practise. This category gathers our TRCN guides on registration, exams, results and licensing. Use them to follow the process with confidence.

Start by understanding the basics. Read our guide on the TRCN categories for teachers to see where you fit. Many people also ask about the difference between a TRCN certificate and a licence. If you lack a teaching degree, see how to get TRCN without a degree in education.

Next, prepare for the exam. Study the TRCN exam syllabus so you know what to expect. Then practise with the TRCN past questions. Our guide on how to pass the TRCN exam shares tips that improve your score.

Plan your logistics early. Find the nearest TRCN office in Nigeria and check the list of TRCN exam centres. After the exam, learn how to check your TRCN result online.

Teaching outside Nigeria? You still have options. Read how to register for TRCN abroad and how to pass the TRCN exam from abroad.
