Beyond TRCN exam dates
Yes. The dates are listed in this post, but knowing that alone is not enough.
Also know that TRCN operates a “batch-by-batch” system to understand your own batch and why.
Be aware that the exam holds in different 1-hour “sessions” from 8:00 AM at PHYSICAL CBT CENTRES in your selected state.
And if your state shows a date range (e.g. May 14th – 16th), it doesn’t mean you’ll write on all three days.

1. Diet or Batch system
TRCN conducts two “Diets” (exam batches) per year for those in Nigeria.
- Batch ‘A’ (May diet)
- Batch ‘B’ (November diet)
The exam standard and every other process of both Batches are the same.
So whichever batch you’re in, none is better than the other.
2. No exam centre yet
Even if your colleagues have received theirs and you haven’t, DO NOT panic.
Rest assured that TRCN will share YOUR EXAM VENUE and time at most 3 days before your exam date.
But while you wait:
- Check your dashboard on the portal.
- Contact your TRCN STATE COORDINATOR.
- Confirm that your phone or email settings isn’t blocking messages.
3. Plan your movement
TRCN has tight security at their centres, including biometrics.
Arrive at least 45 minutes early to your centre on your scheduled date.
Because the biometric thumbprinting can be slow. Not to mention system failure and other unforeseen circumstances that can delay your verification.
Getting there earlier will prevent any lapses from affecting your real exam time.
4. What if you miss your exam date?
Missing your assigned exam date is a big issue because TRCN does not offer “make-up” exams.
But if you have a valid medical emergency, write to their email (support@trcn.gov.ng) or visit the state office with all your proof to request a deferment to the next Batch.
5. Checklist for exam day
- Exam Slip: Printed from the portal.
- Valid ID Card: (NIN, Voter’s Card or International Passport).
- Receipt (Optional): Proof of payment for the exam.
Phones, smartwatches, even calculators are prohibited in the CBT hall.
Take no gadgets with you!
An On-screen calculator will be on your computer, should you need one.
And if you must go with your phone, drop it somewhere safe or with someone you trust BEFORE entering the hall.
Your state may have more than one date. But your own exam is only on one of those days.

Frequently asked questions
The TRCN Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) is conducted twice a year. Diet 1 (Batch ‘A’), held between May and June, and Diet 2 (Batch ‘B’) in October or November.
No. TRCN assigns centres based on your selected state or school. Plan yourself to meet up or prepare to register again with the next Batch.
TRCN exam is conducted in different 1-hour sessions usually 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 2:00 PM. Your specific session time will be indicated on your dashboard, exam slip or via SMS sent to your registered phone number.

Please, I want to see the list of candidates that registered for this 2026 trcn exam. I heard that there are people that registered but there names were not in the list.
My exam slip has 14th May as date of exam, as at when printed on 26th April 2026, with time 9:00am. Hope this doesn’t creat an imbalance to me as my state Imo, is scheduled for 15th May.
Secondly, should I expect another exam slip that carries the valid date 15th May as the dates varies? Thank you.
For Batch ‘A’ 2026 May exam, candidates are strictly advised to ignore the date on their slip and only follow the one given by their exam centres.
I forgot to print my TRCN slip and now the portal has been closed. How can I print it now?
It’s a general issue for Batch ‘A’ 2026 May candidates. So, rest assured that alternative provision will be available for that at your exam centre.
