Attempt each question before checking its correct answer and explanation.
Choose the word(s) that best completes each of the following sentences.

(Your friend and mentor…) is singular as they both refer to ONE person, so it goes with a singular verb, not plural (C). Option (B) is future continuous and (D) is passive voice.

(Every man, woman and child…) is a singular subject and the main verb “asked” is past tense, so it requires a singular past auxiliary verb (was).

SEE ANSWER ✅
(It’s about time), (It’s high time) and (It’s time) are always followed by a SIMPLE PAST verb.
