Attempt each question before checking its correct answer and explanation.

Choose the word that has the same consonant sound as the one represented by the letter(s) underlined.

A. secret

The “t-” in “tea” produces the consonant /t/ sound and only the “-t” in “secret” is pronounced. The rest are silent.
